The Conference, held at the Bournemouth International Centre, was attended by around one thousand delegates, with key-note speakers including the Home Secretary.
Many new contacts were made and a number of forces/constabularies made enquiries about either starting up or building up a Chaplaincy Team in their force/constabulary. We also met a good number of delegates with good news stories of how their chaplains were doing a good job and whose ministry was both well received and greatly appreciated. It was most encouraging to hear how chaplaincy is being so well received around the country.
A shield was put up for delegates to post their prayer-requests on. Following are those requests, please add them to your personal prayers: "Keep Ben safe in Afghanistan", "Joyce", "Ben", "Please pray for D&T in their time of need", "DC K & Family", "My colleague Matthew Plath just diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease", "Mavis".
